Greetings ~

The local police were trying out new sonar equipment. The thought was it would help them solve crimes in the future. As it turned out, they solved two mystery cases on their first try.

As they used the sonar over in the Foss Lake area in Oklahoma, two large metal objects came into view. Instantly they knew that it was two automobiles in the lake. But the thought was that the cars had been stolen and ditched in the water. But when the vehicles were pulled from the lake bottom, everyone was shocked to find skeletal remains. Not one skeleton...but six! Three sets in each car. And to add to the mystery, the two cars had been resting only a few feet apart under the water. And then it was found that these two cars, with their occupants had been there for the last 40-years.

This would put to rest two very cold cases of missing persons in the local community. Three teenagers and three adults had been missing for nearly a half century. Finally, they were found.

This blog follows four news stories of this case and includes many photos. This was a sad case. One lake, two cars and six bodies. The mystery of how they went missing will probably never be known. But their discovery, by accident, at least puts a close to what happened to them.
